Agreed. I keep my hair cut short (but not faddish and within regs) for a reason. During my ROTC days when money was incredibly tight I would, on occasion, have it touch my collar during ROTC, (my MBA was pretty expensive!) but I always saved up to get a cut before drill. Now that I have money I get it cut and put back into regs every Thursday before drill, even though it's not flattering and my husband prefers long hair. A bun that low is...problematic. if your Soldiers are bold enough to fix your uniform, you as an Officer should be grateful they care enough about you that they make sure you're not looking ate up in public. Quietly correct yourself, put them in for a coin, and go about your day.

It was refreshing to see CSM Michael Poll up voted 181 times for his post in response to this "news" on RallyPoint.
It is incredibly sad when a leader may primarily be a leader in position whose soldiers have lost confidence in her ability to lead Nick Petros

This is why we are having issues correcting Soldiers these days. They automatically cry out sexism or racism. If I were in this situation I would square myself away and post a new picture showing me meeting the standards. Then the case would be closed. But no this gets drawn out because people think they are above the rules.

This is how a true NCO would handle it. Doing what you said fosters a a climate where Soldiers not only understand the regulations, but follow them and are more apt to tactfully correct those to their left and right.
