The analysis appears to be based on "national" data. It would be MUCH more accurate if it were based on "state" data.
HOWEVER, the analysis does give a reasonably good general overview of the situation. The "strategic" goal is "capture the presidency". The "tactical" goal is "put the resources into the profitable areas (read as 'swing states')".

While Im positively voting for Trump and believe he is the only one in the GOP to beat HRC it would be a huge miracle if he won ... The entitlement party has to many members to let that happen ...

Sanders belong to the sub-set "Loudly Speaking Idealists Who Don't Actually Get Off Their Butts And Vote", that may well not be as big a problem as those who are threatening to take their ball and go home if they aren't allowed to win think it might.
Bearing in mind that it really doesn't matter who wins the election for President because the odds on one party or the other getting 275 people elected to the House of Representatives AND ALSO getting 62 people elected to the Senate come November are almost negligible and so whichever party the elected President comes from simply won't be able to get anything done because no one will have sufficient voting clout to get any legislation passed without the concurrence of some of the people from the other party AND the party whose nominee loses the Presidential election will continue the "spoiled child" tactics of the past eight years because it would rather see the country fall apart than see the other party get any credit for doing anything that anyone could see in anyway as being "positive".
