So much vitriol for something that the President didn't say.

"Obama did not apologize for the U.S. actions and instead paid tribute to 'all the innocents killed across the arc of that terrible war,' saying that 'their souls speak to us' and 'mere words cannot give voice to such suffering.'"

He also visited the Marines, sailors, and dependents at MCAS Iwakuni to praise their work before going to Hiroshima. Look, there are a number of things that the President has done that I disagree with, as has been the case for each president before him during my life, but lets criticize when the facts support it, not baset on bullshit espoused by pundits and politicians trying to score cheap political points.

I guess we were the bad guys back then! You know with our awesome horse cav and stuff. POTUS was not alive back then or most of us to boot. We were not the young 18 year olds that were going to storm ashore in the Japanese Islands. I guess when you aren't looking at a life ending event like the soldiers serving in the pacific during WW II, you can have doubts as to if it was necessary. We did the right thing. The US also dropped warnings to the military leaders of Japan prior to the atomic bombing that we had a new weapon and would use it. They did not surrender and thus ends the lesson with a big bright flash.
