Nuclear Material captured by ISIS
While I find it amazing that the experts think Uranium does not pose a real danger, I find it even more troubling that there was any nuclear material, let along 88 pounds of it, in Iraq? Does anyone else find this troubling?

Of course there are not WMDs in Iraq. Never have been, and never ever will be.

1) Always believe the opposite of what NBC tells you. Seriously though, I take the press with a grain of salt. It prevents the spin cycle. LOL! 2) ISIS discovered WMDs in Iraq supposedly buried underground. Imagine that, GWB might not have been wrong after all!

Except we are so devious…or incompetent…that we forgot to take the oil and spend our money rebuilding the country’s infrastructure…I bet there is really some secret ancient alien reason why we really invaded? Not concerned.....yet. While that is a good chunk of Uranium, it doesn't sound like it's a fissionable isotope. So unless they have a place where they can enrich it to weapons-grade, it's not a nuclear bomb threat. As the article states, they COULD put it into a dirty bomb......but Uranium isn't he best material for this. It may emit alpha and beta particles, but those are stopped by clothing and skin. You have to internalize it (inhale, eat, or get it into your bloodstream) for it to cause radioactive problems. It CAN be used to cause heavy metal contamination of water sources though.

LTC Paul Labrador I like that hesitation between concerned and yet. To me sir, the greater worry is, what else do they have. Although this may not be enough to cause any harm, it is enough to cause concern, at least for me.

It doesn't have to be fissionable. A dirty bomb going off anywhere in our country (especially in one of our major metropolitan areas) can have devastating long term consequences not only in terms of the physical and radiological damage but psychological damage as well, making Americans not feel safe anywhere in our own country.
