I believe the technical term for this is: “The pot calling the kettle black.”.

TSgt Frank Shirley,
Name calling doesn’t affect me, remember what Gilligan says: “Sticks and stones may break my bones… so please don’t throw sticks and stones.”

I speak to people as they are capable of understanding. In this case the person of interest can’t understand anything higher so the phrase I used is a technical term for them.

I have nothing against a president campaigning for their party. It seems in the past presidents more performed feel good actions and speeches for the person they were stumping for. This year it seems he just has negative and derogatory things to say about his opposition. This is very unpresidential. Put this together with other actions and speeches given over the last 7 years and in my opinion it shows a very divisive personality that isn’t good for our country.

Serving presidents have always campaigned for candidates of their party. It has only been limited by the desires of the candidates campaign, like when Gore didn't want Clinton campaigning for him, and McCain didn't really want Bush associated with him, as he was trying to distance himself from Bush's super low favorable ratings at the time. But Obama's job approval ratings have gone over 50%, so Clinton doesn't need to hide from Obama like McCain had to from Bush.

The democrats care more about keeping a dem in the WH than the repubs do about getting a repub in? Hardly. All the major republican leaders continually say Trump is making unacceptable policy proposals that violate the constitution, are racist, and disrespect families who have lost servicemembers in combat, but STILL they endorse him specifically because they DO want a repub, any repub, in the WH no matter what the consequences to the country.

Pretty much all of what you say is 100%. What I can’t understand is why the president’s ratings are above 50% when so many people believe our country is on the wrong path. It seems somehow the President has been able to detach himself from all the negative stuff that’s happened the last 7 years and has given rise to the antiestablishment candidates of this year. Any ideas how/why?
