Didn't find out about this until today. A hospital. Out of all places, it was a hospital. A place for the sick and wounded. This all needs to stop. The world needs to work together to end extremism and terrorism.

SrA Edward Vong Is this what we're going to leave for the next generation? Really, we need to have a FOCUS and STRATEGIC Plan to destory this and remove it from the face of the earth, otherwise our children and their children will continue to live in fear and the unknown terrorist attack that will strike again, and again! One day we'll have the right leadership and we the people of American will say enough is enough! Don't wait until it affects you directly - it will be too late then. Just my commentary and opinion after reading this article!

There is poison running through the veins of fundamentalists from almost any religious tradition, however Islam seems to be especially afflicted with this problem. Muslims need to address the fundamentalism and take much more aggressive measures to minimize it's influence. The fruit of hatred, intolerance and violence is rotten and it threatens to corrupt all that is Islam... even as it threatens every other religion.

LTC (Join to see) - it's not hard to understand why a version of the religion that offered people additional meaning and real purpose for this lifetime would be popular under such circumstances. That said, with advancements in technology and the growing concentration of capital in the hands of an extremely small percentage of people... how long until we are in the same boat?

SSG (Join to see) - The concentration on capital doesnt concern me as much as some of the others failures I see in society as a whole. Some of this is a failure of the public education system to prepare people for life, do high schools teach kids how to manage finances for instance? How manage wants vs needs?

MAJ Carl Ballinger - Islam is a religion that seeks submission and devotion to the God of Abraham. While there may be some major misunderstandings in their cosmology, the source of their problems isn't a lack of God, it's a lack of God given reason. It is not reasonable to believe that a good God would want you to murder the innocent. It is not reasonable to believe that a good God would love some of his children and hate others.

While I don't believe we see eye to eye on the Nature of God, I definitely agree that we need to love our neighbors as ourselves... that alone would solve almost all this worlds problems.
