I am thankful that $44,000 has been raised for Army 1LT Katie Blanchard SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. One of the saddest aspects of this most-likely pre-meditated incident is that the three children under the age of five are most likely traumatized that their mom was attacked so brutally which they can not possible understand. They love their mom but must be shocked to see the burn damage that she raises with her husband, also a soldier in the Army. I hope her face was spared because that is what young children notice first.
It is still shocking that her civilian subordinate Clifford Currie doused her with an accelerant and lit her on fire while attacked her with his fists, scissors and a blade and in the process inflicted "severe burns to her head, neck, back, arms and hands — mostly third and fourth degree.,”
I pray that God will strengthen this family and restore Katie Blanchard to sound health and that Clifford Currie will be prosecuted and sentenced to a very long term in maximum security prison.

I was shaken when I read about this young lady. I am very concerned about her, her recovery, and her family. I am really interested to see what comes out of the 15-6 investigation that will invariably follow.
