Absolutely! The movie casts Cleavon Little as the black sheriff who was smarter than the white townspeople! Funny movie with a moral message!

At least, not edited. That was a time we could have fun and no one took offense at humor. The railroad skin was hilarious.

SFC Mark Merino they have been showing the neutered version of this film on TV for years. They will continue showing the neutered version. You won't ever see the full version, true, but you never got that anyway. I would love to see one network executive with the giant stones required to air it without the neutering.

SSG Warren Swan Every time you watch a Mel Brooks movie, a Political Correctness Pussy receives a trauma to the groin. Mel Brooks' films are funny, entertaining, and thought provoking. If you think that you need EO training because you laughed at Blazing Saddles, better save me a seat. Also better schedule that EO training for an arena, might I suggest US Bank Stadium, or Cowboys stadium, as that many seats will be required.

I can't go to Cowboys stadium. I'll spontaneously combust and burn it down. I like life. But if it were done today......OH MY GOD the backlash from the "elites" would be crazy.

SSG Warren Swan - It would be worth it if only to see that reaction. Honestly with all of the tension lately, now might be a good time. I wouldn't want to see a remake as the interaction between Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder makes the film, but a re-mastered re-release I would be all over that.

Cleavon Little, gone
Slim Pickens, gone
Gene Wilder, gone
Madeline Kahn, gone
Harvey Korman, gone
Dom Deluise, gone
Alex Karras (Mongo), gone
Richard Pryor (Writer on Blazing Saddles), gone

Most of the cast of this film passed too soon. There are not many comedic actors in Hollywood now who are fit to follow in their footsteps.

PO3 Steven Sherrill - DAMN!! I didn't know all of them were in the movie or had a part in the making of it. Hells no you couldn't redo it correctly. Roots fell into this category. Redo it for another generation? You redid it and it wasn't as gripping.
