Thanks for sharing Maj Marty Hogan What struck was the bookend of WWII. After England and France capitulated to Hitler at Munich. he was welcomed at Friedberg. By this point Japan was fighting in China. Seven years later the surviving Japanese soldiers surrendered their samurai swords after many hundreds of thousands of soldiers had been killed and an only God knows how many soldiers and civilians killed themselves rather than disgrace their emperor by being captured.
