Do you really want our rights and freedoms determined by a single state? For those of you that are really and truly interested in allowing a fully committed Democracy to control our country, do you really understand what you are asking for?

I don't know about anyone else but this scares me! Someone who doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground is SUCCESSFULLY dictating how I can protect myself and my family? I don't think so! I've said it before and here I go again, you can try to pry my weapons out of my cold dead hands and even then, my ghost will put up one helluva fight! I refuse to be a victim- I will be judged by 12 before I'm carried out by 6. If someone is breaking into my home, on a good day, police will take 5 minutes to get there. It only takes a fraction of a second for a round to travel through the barrel to kill me- I'm using my time to defend myself, I will call 911 so they can bring in CSU and I can fill out the report. js

PO1 John Crafton - that's another reason why I thank God Trump won the election. Conservatives, as a whole, IMO need to stop sitting on their hands, stand up and say enough is enough! There is a difference between being a hellraiser and standing up for your rights! I feel so strongly about this issue, when our kids were little, one summer, for allowance, we had them memorize the bill of rights and the Constitution. Reason being, you can't know your rights are being infringed on if you don't know what your rights are! Your rights can't be taken, they have to first be given.

I posted that too soon, I wanted to also say that if New York gets too much worse it's not a far stretch for me and my family to move south and get away from this mess. To get away from a state where my vote almost doesn't matter because of New York City, Buffalo, Albany and Rochester consistently elect someone against my wishes. Our county election map looks like the US map. We have a huge fly-over population that is dwarfed by the metropolis masses, wish we had an Electoral College in NY.
Lastly, I don't see an issue at the Federal Level anytime soon. The SC and many lower courts will soon be populated with more Constitutional minded judges. It'll be interesting to see how the Federal Laws will treat those State Laws. Some could be argued as interfering with Interstate Commerce and seems to override State's Laws. I'm no lawyer though.

SFC Ernie Rau, California Law becomes even more scary because the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals sits in San Francisco. Their rulings end up applying to the following areas - California (e'nuff said), Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Alaska, Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, and Hawaii (of course). Hearings are held in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, and Pasadena. Don't know enough about New York, but take a look at where both pro and anti government protest are held. The area of California and it's neighbors are not called the "left coast" for nothing.
