This isn’t sad, it’s business as usual. Look at when the ACA was passed: literally in the dead of the night. I remember a big winter storm coming up the coast and congress actually had snowmobiles on standby to get them to vote because in another day, after losing the one seat, they wouldn’t have the one vote needed to shove it through… all the lies that were told to get it passed, all the people that lost their health coverage because it “wasn’t good enough” or I believe one of our elected officials actually said “it’s not real health care insurance’ or words to the effect.

Whatever winds up getting passed it can’t be any worse that what we are saddled with now. Hopefully we won’t have some bozo saying “We have to pass the bill to find out what’s inside the bill.” My God! It’s their job to ensure everything works in bills BEFORE they pass them.

The affordable health care act was a joke and anyone here on their own private insurance plan can relay to you the real world results of it. I pay $1500 a month, my deductible is $10,000 and my limit of coverage is $300,000.00 how affordable is this. I was better off when insurance companies were competing for my business which drove the costs down and the benefits up. Obama was truly doing what he could to F&^% up this country when he came out with his affordable care act as it was anything but affordable. Be thankful you are on Tri-Care, or a government job with good benefits because you have no idea what the real world holds in store for you. I want the Republicans to completely scrape it and go back to what we had. Let them provide health care to those with existing conditions and just leave me the hell alone!

The repeal/replace should be part of the same legislation, of course I don't think they really intend to ever follow through on the "replace" part of their promises.
