It's an interesting story, no doubt. I'm very skeptical when non scientist "do their own research." They're not conducting research, they're reading articles often to find what they want to find. The articles may or may not scholarly, I don't know because she is not publishing research and citing studies from peer reviewed sources. But that's just a pet peeve of mine.

As far as other way to treat cancer - I know there are more than what is accepted in the medical model today but it's dangerous to mix the two very far. People get worse and want to sue their practitioner, if a practitioner is seeing a patient who is no following their medical advice they are open to lawsuits from even their estate once they die.

I'm all for options, I'm believe as a fact that food is medicine, I don't think she acted recklessly and I like to read interesting stories but there is a lot of other factors at play as Maj Marty Hogan talks about. Because there is no "standard" for medicine it's hard to judge a persons treatment options unless they're just plain crazy.

Thanks, SGT (Join to see) now I sound like a politician...

Actually MAJ Charles Blake that was my thoughts but not my profession. As a medical officer I am dialed into what a PCP tells us and what it means for the member. What I know about cancer unfortunately is from lots of reading and personal experience. Thanks for your input sir.

SGT (Join to see) Interested to hear your opinion as well MAJ Charles Blake . Wife went through this and I am not going to call total bs- but when my wife went through this it has spread. The stage and limitations of where it was centralized to may have helped this lady. What normally catches most women is it has spread because they ignored it- or the medical people missed it (this was our case). Once it spreads to the lymph nodes outside the area of interest is when things go the other way. Great story and would love to see how this plays out as she ages. The estrogen block is huge and food selection was spot on. We are almost 7 years out- the effects of chemo are devastating along with the surgeries and physiological effects. Surgeries were necessary not only to remove the tumor but it had spread to the skin area.

My personal opinion is a great attitude, will to live, family support, and a belief and faith in a higher power heal a lot as well.
