Turns out it's not secret service, but cybersecurity people asked to resign. Btw, Trump's private security people have no role in protecting the president. And SS agents regularly serve many presidents. They aren't loyalists to one or another. That one agent in Denver who said she wouldn't take a bullet for Trump should be fired, but hardly represents the ss agents as a whole.

Thanks for posting the update to story. I was a little surprised when I saw the posting. Have worked with and known agents. As you say many have worked for other presidents. Their loyalty is to the position, not necessarily the individual.

I wonder if the POTUS's new czar for cybersecurity had anything to do with this. Of course, he probably wanted to bring in his own experts, since he's such an expert himself.

These are dangerous times for the President. With his life at stake he needs to take every possible precaution with his personal safety.

If I was Trump, the way he is shaking things up I would carry a pair of FN 5.7's in a shoulder rig with the ss190 tungsten core ammo, along with a type IV vest.

I held my breath for the past eight years fearful that some nut would attempt to assassinate Obama. I am thrilled that they didn't.

Could you imagine President Biden? Ick!

I think Obama was a gutless moron, but there's only one way to get rid of him, and that is to vote him out of office. That didn't happen, so we got the full 8 years of him.
