Maybe my Afghan deployment colored my experience but so? My own interpreters often said to my face that they would kill me or fight for the bad guys if it wasn't for the paycheck. Others would brag they want to come to the US on Visas, stay past expiration, and work to change the US laws to be more Islamic. And every single one of them used their cell phones to share information about our missions.

Your interpreters suck. Mine is driving cabs in Texas after working in the Mall of America. He's happy as hell to be here with his wife and kid.
