What no map can reveal is the inner most secrets of the heart and soul. Were they voting for the GOP or against the Democrats? For Trump or against Hillary? I think we all have our opinions but you can't map those either. All I can do is thank God for the wisdom of those who crafted the Constitution and the Electoral College.

The lines of the parties had shifted in different districts in favor
Of the people of a party that actually does something not just talks.. I knew of s’body that didn’t talk. He did the tearing down of derelict buildings and cleaned up blocks of crumbling empty houses..
the other party comes back and says hey, I own that what are you doing? Oh according to the law you abandoned it.. you recieved over a dozen notices .. So mr Joe Z bought it for s $1 Bill, paid the taxes , he’s got new efficiency apartments and already has renters lined up to move in.. Now the demarcation lines had shifted. Most of Those new residents are all Republications by chance.. Joe Z.’s brother is the politician and runs and wins in what used to be a democratic ward.. So now the democrats accuse him and Joe Z. Of “gerrymandering “. If the politician of the dem party had just done what he promised and not just talked.. he’d still be in office in that ward..

The Democrats are struggling with being perceived as the party of the coasts. The electoral college system preserves the power of the less populace states to influence the outcome of the election. The writers of the Constitution understood the need to maintain checks and balances in the election process.
