Can you imagine being hungry in the swamp, the enemy searching for you and then have a crocodile some start chewing on your body parts.

I read a novel awhile back called "The Mangroves" by John Campbell based on these events,as far as Vietnam I can only say in the ten months and fourteen days I spent in country as a Infantryman that I think I saw every biting,stinging,blood sucking weird form of animal life on the planet,leeches,red ants,spiders,snakes,lizards and other unworldly life forms probably still unclassified I'm sure.

Yikes. I have read this before and always spooks the crap out of me.
