That is an absolutely gorgeous road to drive. But as this landslide shows, every place has its own hazards.

We had massive flooding here in Houston last year and the residents were all upset that their houses flooded. The argument was that the flood plain was supposed to survive a once in a 100 year flood. Sure, that is what it is rated at, but when it has been 90+ years since the last one, you might want to get worried!

The 100 year flood only means there is a 1 percent chance of that storm frequency being exceeded in any given year. You can have 2 each 100 year storms happen in two consecutive weeks.

More taxes. The new taxes they voted for such clean ups have already been spent on unrelated things even before they were collected.
