I disagree with your broad generalization, but this particular instance was just wrong. That cop should have been convicted. I'm relatively shocked that he wasn't.

You're shocked? I'm not. This is what like the umpteenth case in which a cop goes free after unarmed murder. And they always use go to phrase " i was scared for my life" . well you shouldn't be a cop idiot if you're afraid

I think the statement that you should not be a cop if you are scared is a farce! No one in their right mind would not feel fear in a possible life or death situation. Would you SSgt Ray Stone feel no fear on the battlefield? I think if you are honest with yourself you would have fear if you were in the same situation.

I am not trying to justify the officer in this situation. That was the job of the jury. Not having been there I can not say if justice was served or not.
