Lets just cut to the chase here and note that buried in the article is the following:

There is no evidence that these efforts affected the outcome of the election. But that’s beside the point.
That BESIDE the point... I though that was the point! Once again we have a NYT report with unnamed sources telling us that the POTUS is not doing anything and the Russians are coming! How can they be so sure that nothing is going on... Russian medaling in American elections has been going on since the end of WWII. The fact that it has moved into the Cyber world should not shock anyone... except the agenda driven NYT. Let the Cyber community do their work in the shadows... we do not need to know everything they are doing and we do not need to be reassured every 10 minutes by POTUS that he is on watch. I'm going to make a leap of faith here that our National Security apparatus is fully functional and will deal with these threats.

Proof? The Left don't need no damn proof. They have "good intentions" and "doublethink". Everything else is"besides the point"

Nor have they actually proven the hackers were in fact Russians, I see the Russian interference in our election far less that what Obama and his administration publicly released to affect the outcomes of the Israeli and other elections. Simple fact is the Democrats lost the election and can't deal with the fact that the electoral college voted against their agenda.

They've never been able to prove any actions affected the outcome of the election. Hacking? yes. Intrusion and disinformation on social media? Likely but not totally proven. Poor security by DNC? No doubt. Just lots of opinions, assumptions, and theories. I doubt they ever will because it's nearly impossible to prove. How would they do it - with a poll? Lots of laughs; polls are what cost the election for the Dems. That, and having a lousy candidate. Most countries interfere in the politics of other Nations. The US has done it for years and in much more obvious ways than hacking. We have ousted leaders with coups all over S America, and before restrictions were placed on the IC possibly even orchestrated assassinations. It's no secret that an active effort was employed to get rid of Castro. So, hacking is just the way of things these days and Congress alleges they are investigating it, but it looks more like an effort to oust Pres. Trump. Thanks for sharing.
