Considering the rebels are members of ISIS, Al-Qaeda, et. al., you know, enemies of the US, shouldn't we be celebrating.

Talk about a stab in the back. He just gave Syria to the Russians. Now Israel will have Russians on it's border.

Russia wants Assad in power and quietly our executive is changing policy to meet that goal. It fits in with the actions of our new POTUS to date.

I always have mixed feelings about arming anyone over there.....friend today, enemy tomorrow......but this change appears to be Trump giving Putin something he wants......in exchange for????

SSgt Gary Andrews - I'm with you, the whole region is an exercise in unintended consequences. I'm similarly discomforted that our POTUS seems to be following and supporting Russia's interests without much consideration for ours.

PO1 Robert Payne Normally I'd agree with you. The problem I'm having is that the POTUS has allowed himself to be compromised to the point where if he does anything that appears to be in Russia's interest, I have to wonder at his motivations instead of taking the action at face value.
