I believe that at this point they are deserving of violence..... in the sense that the people throwing them around so freely to try and manipulate society to backing their cause or keeping their opinions of said cause to themselves for fear of being labeled deserve a good punch in the mouth.

Going in the other direction... those clowns are embodying everything that they claim to be fighting against. Especially by using and promoting violence. The scary part is that so many people are caught up in their own emotions or lack the intelligence or education to be able to see that.

That meaning of gentleman started s changing in the north before the civil war. Shaars killer angerls shows the roots of the change. It remained popular in the orginal meaning when money meat that you were consider a better person
