It was not missed it was intentional to save money the decision was not the USAFs

Seems like if you wanted to extend that rationale you could argue that we don't really need our SSBN force or ICBMs for that matter.

PO2 Robert Aitchison - Those have a deterrent effect. Aerial refueling capability is not a deterrent.

Congress is funny what it cares about. My 2 cents is that I would rather have the capability and not use it than need it and not have it.
