And now he is dead. This is the biggest load of clap trap propaganda I have ever seen posted on RP. If they had let Patton lose after WW2 their would have many more such stories I’m sure. I don’t remember this type of activity during their invasion and subsequent ignominious withdrawal from Afghanistan. A Russian general died in the “war” with Georgia! An incision of a sovereign country... but none in Ukraine because the Russians are not there? And how many Russian generals were killed by a failed political system that did not tolerate their incompetence? This simply a piece that is written to try and deminish the overall gains and successes of the US backed forces fighting ISIS while the Russians dither with Asad. It’s Putin propaganda at its best. If it can be arranged I would take 20 more Russian general just like this one... DEAD!

It doesn't matter whether the article is biased or not, what is important is to understand the Russian perspective because it is likely we're going to be fighting them in the next few years.
We may not like or agree with what they say but we should try to understand their prospective it will make us more efficient killers.

SSG there is a distinction between bias and propaganda. This is propaganda straight up! We have been observing the Russian for years well beyond both you and me. I am confident that our system will always produce the warrior Generals, Officers and our greatest strength our Noncommissioned Offices (a leadership level the Russian are weak on - that’s why 3 stars have to lead-if they don’t who will?) that we will need to crush any adversary we may face on a future battlefield.
