If they are protesting "police brutality and racism" why are they doing it during the national anthem, how about half time or after the game or on their own time, knowing that the majority of fans feel it's disrespectful to the nation and everyone who has fought and died to make this nation a better place.

You know your speaking too plain and straight. The high brows will never understand you and the intellects will smirk at you. Now the question is how do the players constantly miss this ?

Goodell is going to have to do better than that. He is in damage control mode. The owners are rebelling and the players taking a knee are hurting revenues and ratings which will kill advertising funds.

He will issue his milquetoast memorandum for the record. When the players do not stand he will act as though he is impotent to correct it and try to play both ends of this. He will kowtow to the players and issue memorandums to try to convince fans he has found religion. He has not.

The owners need to fire Goodell, put in a new commissioner. Make it crystal clear, you do anything other than stand properly for the anthem you will not play. Then apologize to American for their employees hideous actions and assure us it will not happen again. That ought to do it for me.
