It makes me quite angry when a politician claims to be a supporter of a free market and then turn around and introduce B.S. protectionist bills like this.

The real problem is that none of them are real smart, or know what they are passing (except gas). They rely on staffs and committees to give them what they need to say. And, of course, money and lobbying will get them to vote whichever way you want them to vote.
