Gerry Anderson - The Space 1999 Documentary (1995)

Gerry Anderson was the Gene Rodenberry of English Science Fiction. He developed the original Thunderbirds and UFO tv shows. Space 1999 came out in 1975. Martin Landau and Barbara Bain from Mission Impossible were brought on board since UFO failed to be successful in the US TV market. Nuclear Waste on the moon eventually caused the moon to blast out of earth's orbit. This show was good for its time. I only liked Black Sheep Squadron better. We had Charlie's Angels with T and A and lame Mustangs that would sound like they are burning rubber but no smoke. Space 1999 was one of the few shows, of the time, that got my attention. I have both seasons on DVD. I bought them from Amazon when I was in Afghanistan in 2009.

I grew up on Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's Fireball xl5. Does anyone remember that?

Similar to Thunderbirds. I saw only scenes in Anderson's History about the Thunderbirds and after.

I actually didn't mind his part in the xfiles episode.
I would say one of my heavy favorites was the "Kill Switch" episode.
