This sounds like a "work around" of a Constitutional mandate. And that's a slippery slope. What's next, reverting back to state legislatures appointing U.S. Senators?

Did you read the article? It is no work-around...it would be the same thing Carter did in the 1970s in response to growing numbers of cases.

Col Joseph Lenertz - Trump himself is probably less religious than I am and I'm a total atheist. That said, Trump's base is hyper-religious, evangelical Christian, and his judicial appointments have been blatantly pandering to that base.
I have no problem with anyone appointing judges of any faith, but that faith must always be subordinate to the law and past precedent decisions.
