SSG(P) (Join to see) with respect brother it's not the US position to support or condemn Jerusalem that is an internal matter for the Israel and Palestine. It's not the position of the United States or it's president to have stance on it.

Cpl Jeff N. We never had to every nation determined it's own capital and verified it was there's it's never required our input we just went with what the local government put out and we went accordingly as per wishes of the local government.

PFC (Join to see) - Israel names Jerusalem as their capital city Justin. We did not declare it their capitol, they did. We are only recognizing that reality. Don't allow yourself to be fooled by the media and those on the left on this. We are going with what Israel has determined for decades.

PFC (Join to see) - Justin, I am not sure you understand what has happened here. Israel has declared (for decades) that Jerusalem is their capitol. It doesn't matter who may have a "claim" against the city. It is their seat of power and where their government operates from.
We only recognized what they claim. Almost every president has said we were going to move our embassy to Jerusalem (including Obama, Bush and Clinton). This is not some new idea Trump dreamed up. He promised to do it, as other presidents did, but he actually did it.
He has done nothing other than acknowledge what the Israeli government proclaims already.
If a native American tribe decided to lay a claim to the land Washington DC sits on today (and there could be a tribe with that claim) would it be appropriate for all of the embassies in DC to move elsewhere, even though our capitol is still in Washington DC? You are being propagandized by the left and the "Palestinian" cause. They have no legitimate claim to Jerusalem as their capitol city.

Another case if a Democrat made had that move it would be applauded but as President Trump like everything else they find fault with it. Mostly it appears a statement of support for Israel which has been long missing. Will others in that region have problem with that ? Yes they will but what else is new ? The animal factor in the region will continue what they have been doing anyway, murder, bombing etc as usual. We support the only functioning democracy in that area which it seems is proper.
