A bad nominee for the position at hand ... but by all accounts a good person, smart, and a good federal employee. While I am pleased that he withdrew and believe he was not an appropriate nominee for the position being filled, that doesn't mean he is a POS.

The guy appears to have a legitimate background in campaign finance and election law - maybe some expertise in government administration - but it would be very challenging and frustrating for everyone involved if he were to be appointed as a federal judge with no federal criminal and/or civil trial experience to assist in managing the bench component of federal criminal and/or civil trials. The administration should do a better job of vetting candidates for positions of high responsibility. Warmest Regards, Sandy :)
