Obama doubles the national debt, racking up more than all presidents preceeding him combined.
The ACA goosed $700B from Medicare.
And somehow a middle class tax cut is fiscally irresponsible?
As a middle income American in a midwest state, I applaud this tax cut.
Congratulations to the GOP and POTUS for following through.
2017 was a banner year for this country.

For years, the GOP has been saying there is no free lunch.......now they are trying to convince the American people that this tax relief they will see, is basically a free lunch. So enjoy that bite from your peanut butter and jelly sandwich.....but hold onto your wallet.

No man I disagree. We are wasting billions upon billions on things that literally does not benefit the country as a whole. We should not be subsidizing foreign countries at all. I agree we need a safety net for people who are on hard times, but that being said our temporary safety nets have turned in to a multigenerational hand out that does not encourage getting out of it. Ever wonder why welfare roles drop in states that put a time cap on it? Because at some point the "Free Lunch" is over. The people on those programs either go to another state with better welfare programs of go to work their self.
Read the constitution. The individual states should be deciding what to do with their poor. The states should be regulating their environment. The states should be mandating how much minimum wages should be ect. ect.
The federal government is primarily there for the following:
Provide security for the country as a whole.
Mint the currency and back it up with actual resources (that has not been done since we went off of the gold standard to allow uncontrollable spending).
Build and maintain an interstate highway system to support commerce through out the states.
And finally a judiste system to insure a level playing field for all.
We have a government that is out of control when it reaches into every aspect of the average Americans lives!

It is a proven fact that when you lower taxes say on companies or corporations that they are more than likely going to make more money. If they make more money, they expand. If they expand they hire more people.
If individuals get to keep more of their hard earned money they will spend more. That's more tax revenue. They will save and invest more (if they are smart). That helps to keep people off of government assistance.
Shall I go on?

SSG Will Phillips - That's how it should work in theory.......in reality, they often just hoard the money, or buy back a lot of their own stock to drive up the value.....little, if any goes to expansion and/or raising wages. There are major corporations right now sitting on top of record profits......and they are not expanding, not hiring, and not increasing wages. It's called corporate greed, my friend........and it is common.
