A client of mine in Colorado owned a small radio station and decided to write off his airplane as a business expense by broadcasting daily traffic reports from the surrounding communities of Fort Collins, Greely, and Loveland. Yes, it was ridiculous but he got his write off. Occasionally, he performed a public service as in once he heard that police were pursuing a red Ferrari northbound on I-25 headed for Wyoming. The cops couldn't keep up. Neither could he in his airplane. So, be bought a faster airplane.

I had a friend that had a smoky and the bandit trans am with the big 6.6 V8. He was clocked doing 141. The trooper did not even turn his lights on, he had an idea where he was going and just showed up there later. He told my friend he knew his father and would put him in cuffs call his dad to pick him up at the jail. He then said because he knew his dad he would cut him a little slack and let him go home if he drove the speed limit. What a deal! That car was very fast. A few years later my friend died of cancer.

Sorry to hear about your friends passing sir.

I had a friend with the same model car only blue in color. He went through a series of sharp curves doing 140 mph and all four tires were protesting but hanging on just the same. I had a death grip on the door handle hoping in vain that it might save my life if we left the road. My buddy told me I would have looked pretty dumb clutching that door handle in my cold dead hand if we had crashed. Never liked riding with anyone after that when I wasn't in control.

Wow- my son's buddy got caught doing over 140 on his bike down I-29. Lost his license for a few years and cost him an Intel gig with the Marines eventually. Always fun until it ain't SGT Jim Arnold
