Oh, come on now. "...(another) convicted criminal"? Do you really think we're that stupid? That uninformed? Tell us, which felony was Arpaio convicted of. (Let me name the felonies if that will help: Murder, Rape, Manslaughter, Robbery, Sodomy, Larceny, Arson, Mayhem, and Burglary) Not a felony? How about misdemeanor? (Sorry, can't help you there. Too many to list) That's right, he was "convicted" of refusing to follow an idiot court order preventing him from enforcing federal law. Well, that's just the kind of man I want in the Senate. And all the other snowflakes who object can just find themselves a safe place to melt...

CPT Jack Durish - Of course he is a convicted criminal......he wouldn't have needed a pardon if he wasn't. If people that don't feel the need to follow court orders are just the kind of people you want in the senate......you'll need to disassociate yourself from the GOP........are they not the "law and order" party? As for that incompetent liberal Justice Roberts.......who was obviously appointed to the bench by a snowflake Democrat.....oh, wait.....turns out it was a Republican POTUS that put him on there. Go figure....

CPT Jack Durish - "President Trump has already made significant alterations to the judicial landscape."

Does that include the three nominees who had never tried a case, did not know what a Daubert challenge was, or, for that matter, what a motion in limine was?

Capt Gregory Prickett - Actually, I would agree that those nominations were in fact "significant"........in that they clearly demonstrate that qualifications are not a factor in Trump World. Good to know....

I am surprised at his age that he is running for the Senate. Although looking at the average age in the senate he may not look that old. I like his spunk and no BS taking way but would rather see him enjoy the retirement he has earned. We could use some young conservative blood in the senate.

Oh well. This should please the Archie Bunker types. The new and lower standard of fitness to serve. The reality is he might get more done than the perfumed princes currently serving. This is up to the voters of Arizona and I hope they will make a wise choice when the time comes. Since he has been pardoned, the opposition will have to find some new mud to drag him through. For Roy Moore it was young girls from years ago. We'll have to wait and see what they try to use on Arpaio.

Just because he's pardoned doesn't mean he's innocent - there's still lots of mud there for them to wallow in.

MAJ Bryan Zeski - Right, and they will, but it won't stick for those that already love his style. With them his actions against the court order are a badge of courage, a positive selling point. Same as Roy Moore and his defiance in AL regarding the 10 Commandment statue and the rest. Arpaio seems to have a lot of public support and friend(s) in the WH.

CWO3 (Join to see) - That didn't work out so well for Moore - he lost. I agree that Arpaio will get a decent %, but I think the tides have turned (or are turning) and the "people" are less blinded by all the rah rah rhetoric they've been hammered with over the last year.

POTUS approval has been under 40% since his election - he has a hard-core base of 32% that will never disagree with him - even if he nukes Washington State in order to stop all the marijuana sales. It's going to be up to the other 68% to actually get to the polls when it's time to vote.
