You have got to be freakin kiddig me. No Disney princesses have NOT damaged my daughter. BTW I am an engineer so I think I have a pretty good idea of what it is like to have a job that goes against “gender sterotypes”. The article is junk IMHO.

I believe the author of the article (me) would agree with you!! :-) I take the stance that these princesses are actually strong and positive role models for my daughters!

It seems that some people are tryin to force nore girls into doing things they’d rather not do. I see young female engineers all the time who are miserable because they don’t have the temperment for it. I try to give them advice that instead of outright quitting after a couple years to change fields slightly so their education still helps them but it is a bit more people oriented. I have a friend who changed from process engineering to quality systems management at another plant and she has never been happier. She was decent as a process engineer but didn’t enjoy it. The QA job allows her to use her process and engineering knowledge but has more of a people element to it than straight engineering.

My gandaughter believes she is a princess. It’s a positive thing and much better than lot of other images she could try to mimic.

That I don't know Letise. I know she was asked at school what she was going to be
when she grew up? Her answer A Princess. She was a Princess at Disney World on her
4th birthday.
