Thanks Maj Marty Hogan for letting us know that March 20 is the anniversary of the birth of American country music singer, guitarist, and songwriter Jerry Reed Hubbard known professionally as Jerry Reed as well as an actor who appeared in more than a dozen films. His signature songs included "Guitar Man", "U.S. Male", "A Thing Called Love", "Alabama Wild Man", "Amos Moses", "When You're Hot, You're Hot" (which garnered a Grammy Award for Best Country Vocal Performance, Male).

Additionally Jerry Reed served in the US. Army after enlisting in 1957 and rose to the rank of SPC with an MOS of 02T-Band Member Guitar Player and he served in the Army Band until he left the Army in 1959.
