After reading and watching the reports about the “national” day of protest recently, and listening to dozens of media talking heads tell us just how “great”, “fantastic” and “mature” these high school students are, I almost lost my logical, calm mind. Around 4,500 students in my county alone walked out of class and the media followed by telling us how we should “listen to these young people” when it comes to this particular issue....

I could not have said it any better. One minute these "KIDS" are the greatest, and the next minute, anyone " UNDER 21" is not to be trusted. Can't have it both ways.

"Inconsistency, thy name is gun-grabber".
Long ago, as a Freshman undergrad student of philosophy, I was taught that all philosophical views deserved to be considered --- if they are internally consistent.
I see no such consistency in this latest manipulation of youth to support of 'Gun Control'.

I believe one of the worst things going on in our country, is how the liberals have stolen our children's minds. Not just the media, but the teachers. The teacher unions, the entire left wing biased loony toon group of anti-American, anti-patriot bunch of fruitcakes.
My wife and I raised our daughter as a patriot. She has earned three college bachelor degrees, and one Master's degree, in fields that are not social work, but fields such as Criminal Justice, and Forensic Psychology. She believes in capital punishment, she carries a gun, and knows how to handle herself.
We are proud that she never got involved in drugs, and never asked for anything she had not earned.
Today all I see are young people with the belief they are "entitled" to everything. None are willing to work to achieve anything. I see them demanding the taxpayers pay their student loans. I paid mine, our daughter paid hers.
I say to the lazy liberal people, I will not pay for anyone's education in finger painting, social work, basket weaving or any education that does not teach a person to contribute to our society.
Social workers who earn Master's degrees, and are paid below minimum wage should take note they are only needed because the parents of the children they are watching, are frequently on drugs, alcholics and uneducated themselves.
I'm tired of watching what our country has become, and sad for those who have tried to save our country.to those who have served, I salute you! Thank you. God Bless.

The thousands of social workers who work in the Department of Child Welfare throughout the U.S. thank you for noting how stupid they are to have wasted their time getting a Master's Degree because they care about helping children. Also duly noted, those of us stupid enough to get involved with those social workers in the helping put families back together again, or if that can't occur, to give children a safe place to grow up. I sincerely apologize to you that I and the millions of others across the country who work in this field are simply nothing more than lazy, liberal people. Perhaps you have a solution for us?

Get an education that is building something, instead of babysitting children who's parents are not capable of being parents!
Try a field of science, not a BA or MA, but a BS or MS! Typical Socialiology educations are poorly paid because they really do not stress math, science, geography, instead they stress using tax money for liberal causes. It is no surprise that most people in social professions, are poorly paid, since they are not building, just attempting to repair broken families, and in many cases the broken families have no wish to be repaired or just want to milk the system and get sympathy.
I have seen many and fewer then 0.1% ever benefit from the questionable help they receive.
