Our pastor even fit a mention of the importance of this day into his sermon this morning. It had a huge effect, not only on that day, but for the war and for the rest of U.S. history.

CW5 (Join to see) Mary Ann and I were each surprised that the San Bernardino shooting and Pearl Harbor were not mentioned in church today, 6 Dec 2015.

It would have been surreal to have experienced this first hand as an American. Greatest Generation RESPECT.

COL (Join to see), I wish to reprise your remembrance from last year, if you don't mind.
The USS Arizona (BB-39) was sunk by Japanese aircraft during the attack on Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i on 7DEC41 and still rests in the berth where she sank. 1,177 officers and men were lost with the ship and “remain on duty” inside her rusting hulk. This memorial to her crew was built over the wreck in 1962 and I've visited it twice. It's a haunting reminder of the past and should prompt us now and always to be ever more vigilant, prepared and strong, especially in these most unusual and turbulent times. COL Mikel J.
