I’m a mental healthcare provider who has tried (since getting a signed contract in May) to get registered in the Tricare claims system. They are very difficult to get in contact with and slow to reply to providers and beneficiaries when compared to other insurance panels I am enrolled on. My goal is to simply provide mental healthcare to veterans and other military clients with mental health challenges. Tricare makes it complicated to reach this goal.

I've had dealings with mental health providers and TRICARE, and from the patient perspective they're excellent, so keep on trying.

Respectfully-when beneficiaries advocate for their own care by demanding Tricare work to resolve issues with providers related to paying claims, enrolling (paneling) new providers, verifying benefits and preauthorizing services in a timely fashion then more beneficiaries will get the same excellent care you have received in the past sir. Help us by advocating for your own care and for the others who need mental health care by advocating for providers. Many mental health clinicians that I know personally have given up on Tricare and no longer see clients covered through Tricare because of poor service.

Ya, but still better than a lot of civilian plans from what I've heard from people I work with.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - true that. We pay way lower cost shares, but they don't have to deploy for 20 years or get broken to get their coverage!

Yes for sure, but average civilian just doesn't understand our dissatisfaction with our healthcare.
