High dose nutrients and dietary supplements don't act in a vacuum. Blood and digestive chemistry are complicated "stews." High doses of one vital nutrient may chemically block the body's ability to metabolize or store other nutrients. Furthermore in "pure" form they may not survive the digestive process in a useful form. The vast majority of lay people don't understand the chemistry or conduct regular blood, stool, tissue and digestive juice analysis to develop a comprehensive and effective nutrient supplement program.

Over the course of human development, the human body developed in a whole food environment. The news is replete with side effects of dietary supplements, pharmaceuticals etc. etc. My suggestion - Eat a balanced diet with as wide a variety of different whole foods as possible. The majority dietary supplements, particularly high dose, are excreted as really expensive urine, poop, and sweat.

That last part can especially be true for whey protein. Some supplements can have great benefits, though. Simply put, an important part of it is monitoring changes in your body when introducing something foreign.

I do as does my sister. These have been shown to be anti inflammatory, some evidence for brain health

I use it for arthritis. Seen a marked decrease in pain and increase in mobility since taking it. My mother's cancer Dr told her of a study where a person who had inoperable stage 4 cancer tumor, started a high dose tumeric/curcumin regime and the tumor disappeared and cancer went away. She said that even if it isn't a big study, it can't hurt!

SGT (Join to see) - Walmart has a brand (I put all my meds in baggies so I don't have the bottle). It is 500mg once a day.
