PO3 Bob McCord - I want to slap the male parrot into the next universe because he bites. My wife gave me an ultimatum that I must play with the bad parrot and the good one. I should google how to tame parrots. How are you doing?

I'm not saying this to be callous, but can you truly say you're surprised? Certain MOS's can't catch a break, and they get used and abused more than the stripper poles at Ft(s) Bragg and Campbell. It shows the mental and physical toughness required to complete the schooling, and to apply it, but that same "exclusivity" as graduates make you worth your weight in gold. After doing the Tap Suit test in 1996...y'all got my respect.

Love the stripper poles tag, SSG Warren Swan! Did you test at a unit?

It's not just us but as a small community it seems to hit home especially bad. I guess I'm not tuned in to other MOSs, although at 22 a day it is way too common DOD wide.

TSgt David L. It’s one team overall. Coasties are the bastard kids of the family. It doesn’t matter the MOS, one gone is one less we have on our side, and it’s more than a numbers game. Certain MOSs are extremely hard to fill. Yet EOD is one that needs people without compromising standards hence using you guys back to back. It’s gonna get better. I hope soon. The stripper thing is probably the one thing all the services have in common except the Coasties.

SSG Warren Swan - One team, one fight. We joke and make fun of each other's service in garrison but once the chips are down it's one big family, as RP is.
