But for the movie "Bridge of Spies" I would not have known this piece of American History. An ordinary civilian lawyer called upon to execute an extraordinary task on behalf of his country from beginning to end personifies patriotism and courage. And more than that, he acted, truly, in the spirit of "no man left behind". The movie was a 2015 release starring Tom Hanks. It should be on DVD. This movie really brought to life the impact of the Cold War on many people, many circumstances, many families.

CSM Charles Hayden I was born in 1960. Just to think how an insurance lawyer was commissioned by his employer to do this for "show and tell" only, turned this task into a national and international lesson on leadership, patriotism, justice, and compassion still make chills run down my back.
