Once again, people on the left claiming that the Constitution doesn't say what it says, but what a judge says it says. It reminds me of that lady (Inspector 5?) on the Hanes underwear commercial -- "They don't say Hanes until I say they say Hanes."

If I were in a position to do so, I would cancel EVERYONE'S hard pass. Then every reporter including Acosta would be re-issued new ones only after signing a code of conduct. The code would spell our what is expected & what constitutes unacceptable behavior, and establish increasingly long temp-bans for violations (24 hours, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days, 3 months...)

The problem with Acosta was that he was rude to everyone in the room. The excuse for booting him was that he physically prevented the intern from doing her job (it wasn't assault, but it was certainly aggressive and unwelcome touch), and it was a legitimate excuse, but the real offense was grandstanding and being a mic-hog. Watch the video again, paying close attention to all the reporters in the background who were waiting patiently and politely with their hands in the air, hoping to be called on by the President. (THAT is the behavior that needs to be encouraged.) Those were the real victims. Acosta's brand of journalism is "ME! ME first, ME all the time. Everybody else is unimportant, and if being rude to them advances ME, then great!"

SFC Shirley Whitfield - You are talking about the same Don Lemon here right? The guy who announced the other day that there were only a couple hundred folks heading towards the border and the white men were the biggest terror threat.
That Don Lemon? I never said he was stupid. Just a highly paid insane drug addled mouthpiece for the far left.

I am willing to believe that the MSM will give no interviews to the mayor of Tiajauna who is currently telling the 6000 bums (his words) to go home and cursing his own government for not kicking their assess right back across the southern border.
But of course that all that fake right wing news.

SFC Shirley Whitfield - So statistically speaking you cannot assign the mass shooter demographic out side of almost perfectly matching racial lines regarding our countries makeup?
Is this what you were trying to show me?
Shirley,
I have an inordinate amount of mathematical training and experience in life.
I seldom mention it because most folks don’t have solid state computers constantly running in their heads however, statistics.... even the ones which aren’t made up out of whole cloth.. can be made to day absolutely anything the quoter wants.
Outside of legitimate textbooks I don’t think I have seen any legitimately reported statistical data from anyone forever.
The right is very careful about their uses. They will deflect or distract the statistical data put forth to emphasize their point.
The left just plain makes the shit up or outright lies.
Media members ...of either stripe.... must be well paid because I don’t think any of them can count past ten without taking their shoes off.
Seriously mathematically challenged.

Susan Foster - "Fiscal responsibility with government funds is probably one of my hot buttons, though."

I wish more people were like you in this regard.

Woohoo! The White House has established new rules for reporters. I was predicting/hoping they would establish a new code of conduct for reporters -- I was expecting something more specific, but this is outstanding. Acosta's shenanigans has proven to serve as a warning for himself and for every other cantankerous & belligerent reporter. From this point forward, be an ass at your own peril.

1) A journalist called upon to ask a question will ask a single question and then will yield the floor to other journalists.
2) At the discretion of the president or other White House official taking questions, a follow-up question or questions may be permitted; and where a follow-up has been allowed and asked, the questioner will then yield the floor.
3) “Yielding the floor” includes, when applicable, physically surrendering the microphone to White House staff for use by the next questioner.
4) Failure to abide by any of rules (1)-(3) may result in suspension or revocation of the journalist’s hard pass.

Good deal. It's so much bigger than Jim Acosta. Which is why Fox agreed. But we will see if it's taken further up the chain.

PO3 John Wagner - I think you gave an example of the sort of person my Dad referred to as "Self-righteous, sanctimonious, psalm-singing SOBs", only he didn't use the letters.

CW3 Harvey K. - One thing that always trips me up and ends the deals.
When you call what they do by its proper name. Theft. They always hate that. I am the fool that doesn’t seem to wise up and endure their theft. I haven’t met a trucking company owner yet who didn’t feel entitled to steal.
A friend of mine put it best many years ago.
Just tell me you’re going to steal from me and then let me decide wether to stick around or not. Sounds goofy but it makes sense.
Of course these guys don’t think they are thieves ... they always justify... so it is not even a practical exercise.

PO3 John Wagner - I've had my own experience with such thievery in trucking. It used to be that the contract drivers got 50% of the delivery fee, and their cut stayed at 50% when a new contract brought higher fees.
Then a new owner didn't see that as "fair", and tried to keep a new contract with higher rates secret from the contract drivers, even using codes on the delivery orders for the delivery fee (as if no one would suspect what they were hiding). That cat soon got out of the bag, and drivers started refusing to "help out" by taking troublesome and economically unfavorable deliveries that were causing the dispatchers headaches unless they got the full ticket fee for the delivery. A "Screw me, screw you" reaction.

CW3 Harvey K. - Yes. But when it comes to the screw you part the truckers always win. I suppose it’s much the same in most fields of endeavor.
Fuel haulers... who are amazingly low paid... know like no one else that if we shut down for three days we would have the country in its kneees. But we never seem to do it.
