I've always suspected that the Kurds could be our greatest friends in the region if only we weren't such cr@ppy friends ourselves. We've shown ourselves to be untrustworthy again and again. This isn't a Trump thing, he's just the latest in a long line of betrayals.

Instead we support a bunch of countries who really don't share a lot of values with and wonder why citizens of those countries fly planes into our buildings.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel the only thing that’s shocking is, ‘why are the Kurds shocked’?

Remember that scene in Forrest Gump, when Gump is telling someone about all the times he got to meet the President? “And I got to go to the White House, UH-gain...had to meet the President, UH-gain.”

Well that’s how the Kurds are probably feeling right about now. “And we allied with US forces, UH-gain....and they gonna abandon us, UH-gain”.

Recall how we left the Mujahidin high and dry in Afghanistan back in 89, and 12 years later....

It said there is a total of only 2000 U.S. Troops in sryia and that are bieng withdrawn. I it seems there is a awful lot going on in Syria these days so I guess we'll stay tuned on this.
