He broke his campaign promise not to announce pullouts. He said Democrats did that.

While I disagree with president Trump on this one, in my opinion we can't put an announcement of a month or so in the same league as a year of so. Can you imagine the uproar if he said: “OK, all the troops are coming home tomorrow”? He’ll get roasted either way.

They are good people I always felt safe in their areas. I Do Not understand why we are not helping them. They always helped us.

MSG Greg Kelly Those "Good People" openly support the overthrow of an entire country. I agree that a solution must be found, but they need to come to the table with actionable solutions, not more hateful rhetoric. They seem to be a lot like the palestinians, a people who have NEVER actually had any geographic nation, but are insisting that other nations give them their "homeland". I am no fan of erdogan, but "the devil you know" as they say!

MSgt Stephen Council - I guess we can split hairs all day. The Kurd problem goes back to the WW1 when the British took a pen to the map of the middle east. But the Kurds over throwing a Government I seem to recall a little group of colonies who did the same thing to the British Empire so I am OK with that. And it will happen again some where else to someone else. We has Americans will never solve the problems of the middle east, because we don't understand them and they run too deep. For a peoples that gave us so much in history they refuse to fighting each other over religion so they can advance themselves.

MSG Greg Kelly There is a difference between revolution and terrorism. Those colonists you speak of were solely responsible for developing a wilderness into a modern (albeit for its time) society in the Americas. They did not do it through indescriminate bombings in capitols killing innocents and combatants alike. Those are the actions of terrorists like the ira, the palestinians, hamas, and yes, the kurds in Turkey. They fight for some supposed homeland that NEVER existed. Is revolution warranted at times? Yes it is. But terrorism is never warranted and should be crushed with the biggest military hammer available. At this point, I think that we should agree to disagree. I respect your opinion and the way that you have kept things on a professional and intellectual level, and I thank you for your contributions to our AWESOME forum, but we do seem to be at an impasse on this issue.
