So, is this OPPOSITE of "cultural appropriation" and it is "cultural denial?" I thought were we all about "INCLUSION?" Was I mislead? LoL

I grew up with a father that spoke NINE languages. So while this is funny, it is also serious. There are words that sound, "well, off to the untrained ear." However, that does not make them vulgar. The "F~~~" word is only vulgar when the connotations its conjures are attached to it. By placing attention on the name, the Mayor is saying to the owner they "...Don't have a right to be proud of their heritage because how a word sounds in ENGLISH is improper."

I read the article. Frankly, what is the difference on "Pho-Keene" and "Freak'n." I bet the Mayor has used the latter. People and their "political correctness" are sad. If it is a big deal then perhaps "Pho-Good" is a better play on words.

WTHK!
