Do you personally know anyone on RP or elsewhere that hates Mexicans? I don’t, but do feel animosity for those that attack our Border Patrol, enter our country illegally and break our laws. Many carrying the flags of the country they are fleeing. I, and most everyone I know, welcome immigrants from around the globe. Occupy Democrats would be the last place to go for anything, they are an extreme left wing organization. I am an American and my DNA means little to nothing when it comes to my Patrioism to my country.

'plenty of openly racist voices on RP' - I've been on RP a little bit, read probably hundreds if not thousands of posts, both from 'far left' and 'far right' and have not seen any openly racists comments . Definitely some in poor tastes for sure, but that doesn't make them racist.

Majority of Mexicans and Central Americans are White. Hispanic is a ethnicity, not a racial category. Hispanics are composed of many different races.

Capt Dwayne Conyers - When I was stationed at the US Embassy in Nairobi, my wife worked in the consular section. It was common knowledge among consular officers that people from the old world, who wanted to circumvent US immigration, used legal entry into Canada (low standards for visa entry) as their port of entry to the western hemisphere and crossed into the US from there.

Capt Dwayne Conyers - You possibly don't remember when terrorists were picked up in Washington State after crossing into the country from Canada. It's not the Canadians I'm worried about per se, it's anybody seeking to come into this country illegally for whatever reason.

It always boggles my mind that the extreme left tells us with European heritage to move back to Europe but forget that the Spanish speaking "Mexicans" aren't' under the same "go back to Spain" scrutiny.
