The Seabed Arms Control Treaty (or Seabed Treaty) is a multilateral agreement between the United States, Soviet Union, United Kingdom, and 84 other countries banning the emplacement of nuclear weapons or "weapons of mass destruction" on the ocean floor beyond a 12-mile (22.2 km) coastal zone. I thought that with the recent news regarding the intermediate (INF) treaty, that this was an interesting entry. BL - There are a lot of treaties we have over many, many years of the cold war and negotiated ore set in place by multiple previous administrations, that make up in total an important set of norms that we have been taking for granted for years. So when you look at the opening of space, for example, or even the "permanent" opening of northern sea routes as a result of climate change... it gives some perspective dating back to the 1970s...
