I'm not sure that the mounting is going to survive very long once you fire that cannon a few times.

Maj Robert Thornton - You bet. I've been in an M60 tank and fired the main gun, I just don't see how a vehicle as light as a Humvee wouldn't start coming apart at the seams after a couple of rounds.
It may surprise me. My father said they mounted 75 mm cannons in the nose of B25 Bombers during WWII, and that doesn't sound like a good idea to me either, but I guess it worked.
