MSgt Steve Sweeney - MSgt Bischoff characterized him as "the religious leader of the conservatives." I challenged that assertion. I doubt that any conservative considers President Trump as his or her religious leader; or for that matter anyone's religious leader.

Your absolutely right; We can play the semantics and obfuscate all day long. But please pick some real issues. It isn't like there aren't a number of them. I have repeatedly stated that I didn't vote for candidate Trump in 2016. I find him personally repugnant , same with Secretary Clinton. The DNC Candidate can have my vote, if the DNC can field a center right candidate. It appears more likely they will select a purple unicorn before they field a center right candidate in 2020.

But despite his deep flaws yes I attribute some leadership traits to President Trump

-Passion
-Decisiveness
-Indomitable will
-Self-motivated
-Understanding of opportunity cost
-Authenticity
-Ability to confront
-A sense of urgency
-Unafraid to make mistatkes
-Goal oriented
-High energy.

MSgt Steve Sweeney - You just defeated your own point. Trump is a leader of young black conservatives, not a young black conservative leader. Likewise, he is a leader of Christians, not a "Christian leader."

SSgt Christopher Brose - Except that wasn't the point. That was the distraction. The point is he isn't much of a leader, or just a "leader" in name only. For some people, that is apparently good enough. His actions don't matter.

Maj John Bell - Fair enough. I see how some could attribute some of those characteristics; but without sound judgement, intelligence and integrity, what are they really worth and who is he leading?

I might find Clinton personally repugnant as well, if I believed even half the nonsense people say about her. But I have witnessed firsthand the right's favorite tactic of unscrupulous character assassination and how they will twist and fabricate because they lack the ability to address the issues. From Whitewater to Benghazi, phony outrage at the use of a personal email server, to UraniumOne, or whatever the fabricated scandal dejure, the amount of outright lies, deceit, and fear mongering.... Nothing has pushed me further and faster from the right the the amount of abject stupidity fueled by the lowest and dishonorable intentions for the past 8-10 years.
