He gives a damn about soldiers they're his personal toys, and as long as his children and grandchildren aren't fighting. In his sick depraved mind the entire country are terrorists. Scary the physcopath has the nuclear codes

No one seems to understand President Trump's diplomatic style. Which includes me. To be fair, I haven't understood anyone else's, not since Ronald Reagan occupied the White House. However, it does seem to work once the target of his rhetoric understands that he means what he says and begin to react to the carrots and sticks that he employs. Again, to be fair, diplomacy is a mystical process, much like sausage making, and the proof is in the tasting. Inasmuch as we haven't tasted any yet, it's too soon to pass judgement. Unlike President Obama's "leading from behind" which failed immediately, we'll have to be more patient with President Trump. (Yes, I see the irony in that statement. There are plenty who have exhibited no patience in their rush to judgement which began even before he reached the Oval Office after winning the election...)

CPT Jack Durish Here's the problem: If the Afghan people and Soldiers actually think that his rhetoric - ending the war by killing 10 million people - is what he means, he's just set our Soldiers on the ground at odds with the Afghans they're trying to work with. Now, the Afghans have to worry about whether WE are going to try and kill them first for exactly the reason you pointed out - that the target of his rhetoric think he MEANS what he says. That's bad for US forces in Afghanistan and makes the job exponentially more dangerous.
