Not sure why the Winchester 1897 is on that list, It was ground breaking 100 years ago, but the Winchester model 12 that replaced it was a much better shotgun and more than twice as many were produced. And the Winchester SXP which is a evolution of the Model 1200 with it's rotating bolt action is an even better improvement.

I love my Mossberg 500. One of the best purchases I made for it years ago was an 18" barrel that was an overrun of the Navy contract, it is made with much thicker steel than the standard barrels and has removable choke tubes. The barrels were $69 ea and I bought 2 one for me and one for my son. I wish I would have bought a dozen of them.
